![]() ![]() If someone has a better solution to this, feel free to let me known, but I figured I'd go ahead and post this since I couldn't find anything on the internet about how to do this yet. The only downside to this is that the steam overlay doesn't work and in order to reconfigure your controls (I had to at least 7 times to get it how I liked) you need to pause the game, open steam in big picture mode, go to the added minecraft game, open the controler configurator, and change it there, THEN quit big picture mode and return to the game. This will force steam to think you're playing the launcher "game" after you launch the real Minecraft instance and allow you to use configurable controls in-game. This will bring you to the profile editor GUI and all you simply need to do is under the first section, select "Launcher Visibility" and chose "Keep launcher open". exe file) and select your regular minecraft profile from the dropdown (most likely you'll already have it selected, you'll have to do this for every profile that you'll want to use with the controller) and then select "edit profile". Open up the launcher (either from steam or from your. ![]() Since then, I've discovered the stupidest, easiest solution to this problem: ![]() All of these ended in frustration and none worked- simply, you would have the configured controllers in the LAUNCHER but as soon as you started the game, it would revery the controller back to default settings, which does not include a WSAD format to move with, nor many other controls you need to play with. So I spent a few hours trying to figure out if I could use a batch file to launch minecraft, add that to steam, and work from there, adding javaw.exe with extra paramaters pointing towards my minecraft.jar to steam, among other things. This causes a conflict between steam and the actual game of minecraft since it closes the launcher and opens in a new window. And as all minecraft fans know, since 1.5 we've had to use the launcher to actually get into the game. which wouldn't be needed in fact, because you get of course the best fitting software from the manufacturer of the gaming device.with games like pioneer in which i'm envolved, there will be more games for the MAC in future, just in advance, if one would say:'the MAC isn't no gaming machine'.i have a MACbook in front of me and this little machine is quite good to play our game, but.of course it's also frustrating that the manufacturers handle the MAC neglected, i posted this already even to Logitech. So I spent all day yesterday trying to get my controller to work with my non-steam added game, minecraft. but customer support or how to get to the product is miserable.phew, not to think of,a) 'rotten' PC is of course well supported by manufacturers, costs $0b) you find many replacements on the open source sector for free. rating i gave is still good, because the demo has satisfied me. you didn't find a good replacement for a 'profiler' software at all and if like this one, you have to get over many hurdles, if it works out at all. I've seen a lot dissatisfied users here?well, the hole situation dissatisfies me.the product is good and worth for sure the $8,no question.but to get to the product is a treat.ok, i never bought anything from the appstore, so this would have been the first one, i went to all needed steps, just to find out what i already assumed, i can't pay with 's simply frustrating, it seems it's not enough that the MAC is badly supported by Gamingdevice manufacturers.
